Sumario: | The importance of public institutions and the functions they perform in order to carry out the development of the country in this specific case was investigated under a non experimental design, the comparative, quantitative, and prospective descriptive method within the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. In 2022, 30 people in charge of administration in the faculties of dentistry and agronomy were taken as the target population, applying surveys as a data collection instrument and with a sample size of 15 people per faculty, taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria when administering the surveys to the administrative staff present. The data obtained from the 22-item questionnaire on knowledge of eco-efficiency regulations and awareness of compliance with them passed validity tests (Aiken's validity index) and reliability tests (Cronbach's alpha test) and were analyzed, processed, and tabulated using the SPSS version 27 statistical package. Regarding the results obtained from the administrative staff of both faculties, there is a significant segment of workers who do not comply with eco-efficiency regulations in the areas of electricity, solid waste management, and paper, and related matters. This indicates important information since it shows us that this segment of public employees lacks sufficient knowledge about eco-efficiency, which is reflected in statistically significant differences between the regulatory compliance averages. Therefore, our authorities still have much work to do in raising awareness among administrative staff, as lack of awareness of the regulations limits the development of capacities in the efficient and effective use of public materials. |
