The objective of this report was to determine the relationship between cultural identity and tourist awareness in the residents of the Centro Poblado Santo Tomás, Iquitos 2023. An applied approach, descriptive-correlational level and a non-experimental design was used, and it was evaluated at a population of 363 residents (heads of household) taking as a sample 187 to whom it was applied using an item questionnaire as a data collection tool. The results show that cultural identity is very high (55%), this is because the inhabitants are completely in favor of promoting cultural and tourist awareness among the members of the town, as well as carrying out cultural exchanges with other communities. Furthermore, the importance of strengthening the cultural identity of the new generations through education is emphasized, but it is mentioned that there is total opposition to using the native language of the region. Regarding the level of tourist awareness, it is rated as very high (69%), because it always shows a smile to the tourists who approach it; As well as, they always take care of the parks, monuments and tourist areas. Therefore, it was determined that there is a positive relationship between the variables, contrasted by a coefficient of 0.556 and a significance of 0.000.
