Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this report was to determine the relationship between environmental awareness and the practice of sustainable tourism in the District of Belén, Maynas, Loreto, where an applied type study with a non-experimental design was chosen, whose sample was 363 tourists. , who were surveyed and recorded the data in a questionnaire. Obtaining as results that the level of environmental awareness is medium, this is because the inhabitants of this town have little knowledge about environmental issues related to solid waste management, and their actions do not contribute to the realization of responsible tourism; In addition, they are markedly disdainful of natural resources, in addition to being unaware of the need to carry out tourist activities without affecting natural resources. For its part, the practice of sustainable tourism has been given inadequately, since compliance with quality standards for the satisfaction of tourists is sometimes met, as well as the conservation and protection of natural resources; however, it has almost never been observed that the companies and inhabitants of the Belén District use alternative energies such as solar panels. Determining that a strong positive correlation has been found between the variables, this relationship is significant and has been demonstrated by a correlation coefficient of 0.968.
