Conocimiento y percepción de riesgo de VIH/sida en estudiantes del Quinto de Secundaria de una Institución Educativa Iquitos 2024

The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and risk perception about HIV/AIDS in fifth-year high school students of the Mariscal Oscar R. Benavides Educational Institution, in Iquitos 2024. The research was quantitative and the design was correlational with a sample of 63 students. The technique was the survey, and a knowledge questionnaire about HIV/AIDS was used, which had a validity of 94.17% and a reliability of 90%, and an HIV/AIDS risk perception scale with a validity of 98.66% and a reliability of 96.66%. Results: 45 (71.4%) had poor knowledge about HIV/AIDS and 18 (28.6%) had good knowledge. In HIV/AIDS risk perception, it was determined that 46 (73.0%) had low risk perception and 17 (27.0%) had high risk perception. Significant results were obtained from the Chi Square statistical contrast (p=0.001). Conclusion: There is a significant statistical relationship between knowledge and risk perception about HIV/AIDS in fifth-year high school students at the Mariscal Oscar R. Benavides Educational Institution, in Iquitos 2024.
