The general objective of this research was to describe the perception of noise pollution in 120 students of the sixth cycle of the Science, Technology and Environment course at the I.E. Virgen de Loreto in Iquitos 2022, using a descriptive methodology, with a field, univariate and cross-sectional design, employing census sampling. The instrument was a validated questionnaire, administered through the survey technique. The results reveal that 98.3% of students perceive a high level of noise pollution. Regarding annoyances, 86.7% reported a high level, with greater discomfort generated by vehicular traffic (mean = 2.75). Regarding the consequences of noise, 91.7% showed a high level, highlighting as the main effect the interruption of conversations (mean = 3.02), followed by irritability (mean = 2.83) and decreased performance (mean = 2.77). In the institutional context assessment dimension, 73.3% perceived a high level, but also expressed dissatisfaction with institutional measures to address noise (mean = 2.54). In conclusion, a highly negative perception of school noise is confirmed, with significant effects on well-being and academic performance, justifying the need to implement mitigation strategies in educational institutions.
