Descripción
Sumario:The main objective of this degree work was: To perform calculations of energy losses in the pipes, accessories and flow meters in the hydraulic bench of the Unitary Operations and Processes laboratory of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the UNAP for it is operation. The present quantitative research was of a descriptive type, the results were explained in the fluid mechanics equipment, as well as in the accessories (elbows, expansions, orifice plate, flow meters such as the Venturi tube, flowmeter, rotameter, etc.). The equipment, as it is intended for academic purposes, has galvanized steel pipe of different diameters (1/2", 3/4", 1 1/2", 1” and 2”), in which different phenomena can be observed. It was determined that the total experimental friction losses (Experimental or real flow rate of 34.2 LPM) have an error of 26% compared to the theoretically calculated one (Theoretical flow rate used of 30 LPM), and an error of 2% using the flow rate actual for theoretical loss calculations; In addition, it was determined that the flow calculated in the Venturimeter has an error of 2.23% compared to the Rotameter, and with the orifice meter it is 0.55% and that the flow calculated in the analog flowmeter has an error of 5.26% compared to Rotameter.
