| Sumario: | The gender wage gap is a problem that shows structural inequalities in the labor market and constitutes a significant obstacle to economic development. This research analyzes the socioeconomic determinants of the gender wage gap in the province of Maynas during 2023 and is developed through a quantitative approach, explanatory level and non-experimental cross-sectional design. Data from ENAHO-INEI was used and the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition was applied to evaluate the impact of variables such as potential experience, educational level, family burden, marital status and company size. in the wage gap. The results show a 30% salary gap in favor of men in Maynas in 2023 and it is concluded that potential experience and the size of the company reduce the salary gap by 17.7% and 26.1% respectively, while marital status increases by 20.4%. Furthermore, the educational level and family burden did not have a significant impact on the wage gap. These findings show the persistence of structural inequalities that limit women's access to better job opportunities. The research highlights the need for policies that promote wage equity and the formalization of employment, promoting a more inclusive labor market. |
