The correlation between volume, biomass and carbon content was evaluated in a low hill forest of the concession (San Regis S.A.C) Nº 16-IQU/C-J-099-04 in the district of Nauta, Loreto. The results show that 4281 trees were recorded, belonging to 75 species, 61 genera and 23 different botanical families. The total volume of wood reached 104,19 cubic meters per hectare, with Ecclinusa lanceolata as the dominant species with 8,05 m³/ha, followed by Parkia nitida with 6,16 m³/ha. Total biomass was 182 118,38 kg/ha, with Ecclinusa lanceolata and, standing out with 16 728,11 kg/ha and 11 646,52 kg/ha, respectively. The recorded carbon stock reached 91,06 tons per hectare, with Ecclinusa lanceolata being the main species with 8,36 tons of carbon per hectare, followed by Parkia nitida with 5,28 tons of carbon per hectare. A high and consistent correlation was observed between volume, biomass and carbon stored, with a correlation coefficient of r = 1,000 in both cases, indicating a close relationship between the amount of biomass and carbon stored and the timber volume.
