Sumario:This research has the description of Text Comprehension of narrative and expositive text level in students from the fifth grade of secondary education of Mariscal Oscar Raymundo Benavides School, Iquitos 2022 as a central topic. It has a qualitative approach and the methodology is descriptive-simple, O x1, x2. The population of this study were 358 students from morning and afternoon time in total. To measure the reading comprehension from narrative and expositive texts, questionnaire as an instrument was used. According with the results, there are issues with the learning of reading comprehension of written texts; they are persisting. 30.81% of students have problems with the comprehension of narrative texts and 48.64% students have problems with comprehension of expositive texts; most of the majority of students are in pre beginner and beginner level. The research work concludes that even though there is a slight difference between the comprehension of narrative and expositive texts, both of them are under the expected level.
