Descripción
Sumario:The present study was carried out between January and May 2023, with the purpose of analyzing the current state of the consumer fishery in the Loreto region; For this purpose, statistical information on fishing landing volumes for the period 2010 – 2022 was used. The results show a total record of 142,193.50 ± 3,827.90 t, registering Iquitos as the area with the highest landing volume (60.33%); Likewise, Caballococha and El Estrecho show an upward trend line in landing volumes; Regarding the state of conservation of the fishing resource, 88.98% were landed in the fresh state, 2.92% in the salted state and 8.10% in the dry-salted state; In relation to the species with the highest landing volume, these are grouped in the Order Characiformes (75.47%), with Prochilodus nigricans being the one with the highest capture record with 26.62%, followed by Mylossoma albiscopum (13.33%); These catches come mainly from the Amazonas (29.00%) and Ucayali (27.13%) rivers, in addition, the landing volume comes from a multiplicity of fishing vessels, among which cargo and passenger vessels (M/F) predominate; The estimates of the linear projection to 2030 in relation to landing volumes, this registers an upward trend for Caballococha and El Estrecho. It is concluded that Iquitos is the area that registers the highest volume of fish landings, and according to the state of conservation, the highest percentage of fish is landed fresh.
