Sin embargo, existe un universo de observadores menos especializados y ocasionales, que es más grande y significativo. Las aves, son entonces, un recurso importante para el ecoturismo, pero ¿Cuán importante son en este público no especializado en generar satisfacción en su experiencia? El objetivo de la presente tesis fue comparar el grado de satisfacción de observación y aprendizaje de aves con el resto de fauna en los turistas de interés general que se hospedaron en Reserva Amazónica Inkaterra, y, si el recurso aves, destacó sobre otros tipos de fauna en la satisfacción total de fauna. La investigación fue de tipo mixta y correlacional, con diseño no experimental y transeccional. La muestra fue tomada a 141 turistas, un poco más del recomendado para un nivel de confianza de 95% y un error muestral máximo de 10%. La covid 19 limitó el muestreo, pero se consiguió suficientes muestras. El resultado obtenido fue que el grado de satisfacción de observación de aves fue mayor que el resto de fauna, pero el grado de satisfacción de aprendizaje del resto de fauna fue mayor que el de aves; además, la satisfacción total de aves fue mayor que la de roedores y reptiles, pero no mayor que la de monos e insectos. Se recomienda investigar otras variables que influyen en la satisfacción de la observación, ampliar los temas explicados en la interpretación ambiental y enfocarse en los tipos de fauna que tuvieron mayor grado de satisfacción total en los turistas.Peru is one of the three countries with most species of birds in the world, therefore it has the potential for birdwatching activity and tourism, especially for specialized people called Hardcore. In addition, there are two different audiences less specialized called Softcore and Occasionals who have interests in others resources too, so, this is an important activity for tourism. How important are birds in this non-specialized broad public to generate satisfaction in the tourist experience? This thesis had as main objective compare the degree of observation and learning satisfaction of the birds with the rest of fauna in tourists with general interest who stayed at Reserva Amazonica Inkaterra, and, if birds, highlighted over others in the total satisfaction of fauna. The research was mixed and correlational, with non-experimental and transectional design. The sample was taken at the lodge to 141 tourists, more than a confidence level of 95% and a maximum sampling error of 10.00%. The Covid-19 limited sampling, but enough samples were obtained. As a result, degree of satisfaction of birdwatching was higher than the rest of the fauna, but the degree of learning satisfaction of the rest of the fauna was higher than birds; in addition, the total satisfaction of birds was greater than rodents and reptiles, but not greater than monkeys and insects.
