Maestría en Producción AnimalLas lomas de Amancay están localizadas en la comunidad campesina de Cucuya, Distrito de Santo Domingo de Olleros, Provincia de Huarochiri, Departamento de Lima; este estudio tuvo como objetivos: Caracterizar fisiográficamente, física y químicamente los suelos, inventariar la vegetación y desarrollar un plan de pastoreo sustentable. Se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: los suelos de las lomas en su mayoría presentan pendientes pronunciadas, así como son superficiales; no poseen limitaciones en sus características químicas, además poseen tres clases agrologicas: clase pastos, clase forestal y clase protección. Se encontró cuatro comunidades vegetales en el área de pastoreo, con 38 especies vegetales. El promedio general de biomasa aérea total fue de 1,070.09 Kg.MS/ha. Se delimito cuatro áreas de manejo: la zona intangible (67.0 ha) y el corredor biológico (15.80 ha)serán sometidos a descanso mientras que la zona buffer (96.50 ha) y la zona de pastoreo dividida en dos: pastoreo 1 (103.93 ha) y pastoreo 2 (84.13 ha) total (187 ha) serán sometidas a un sistema de pastoreo rotativo; la zona de pastoreo 1 se usará 9 días descansará 11 días, la zona de pastoreo 2 se usara 7 días y se descansará 13 días aplicando una carga animal de 0.72 U.A.; mientras que en la zona buffer se usará 4 días y se descansará 16 días aplicando una carga animal de 0.36 U.A.; el periodo de pastoreo y descanso se realizara por tres veces durante el periodo de uso del área (60 días).Este estudio muestra que se puede pastorear de una manera sostenible las lomas de Amancay una población ganadera de 749 animales (164.20 U.A).The Amancay’s lomas is located in Cucuya rural community, Olleros’s Santo Domingo District, Huarochiri Province, Lima department; this study aims to charactherize physiographically, physic and chemically the soils, inventory the vegetation and develop a sustainable grazing plan of Amancay’s lomas. The following results were obtained: the lomas’ soils have mostly steep slopes as well as are superficial; they don’t have limitations in their chemical characteristics, they also posses three agrological classes: rangeland class, forest class and protection class. Four plant communities were found in the grazing area, with thirty-eight plant species. Four management’s areas were delimited: intangible zone (67.0 ha) and biological corridor (15.80 ha) will be subjected to rest while buffer zone (96.50 ha) and the grazing zone divided in two: grazing 1 (103.93 ha), grazing 2 ( 84.13 ha), total (187.10 ha) will be subjected to a rotational grazing system; the grazing area 1 will be used 9 days and will rest 11 days, the grazing area 2 will be used 7 days and will rest 13 days applying a stocking rate of 0.72 U.A. while the buffer zone will be use 4 days and will rest 16 days applying a stocking rate of 0.36 U.A. ; the period of grazing and rest will be performed three times during the period of use of the area (60 days).
