Departamento Académico de HorticulturaEl arándano es un cultivo que ha crecido de manera vertiginosa en el Perú, el mayor obstáculo para su desarrollo ha sido el conocimiento del cultivo, incluyendo que gran parte de la información generada por empresas privadas es restringida. Debido a las condiciones del suelo, el manejo del cultivo fue bajo la modalidad de contenedores, enfocado a una mayor producción por hectárea. Se tomó un registro del comportamiento del arándano var. Biloxi bajo las condiciones de Ica durante los años 2017 - 2019, donde se registró la fenología del cultivo, el manejo y control fitosanitario, medición de pH y CE, aporte nutricional, cosecha y labores culturales y de producción. La realidad en el Perú es muy diferente a la que se maneja en otros países productores de arándano; por lo que si bien las experiencias de los otros países nos sirven como guía, es muy importante y necesario conocer el manejo y desarrollo del cultivo bajo nuestras condiciones, además de contar con el personal capacitado que le pueda hacer frente a las distintas problemáticas que se puedan presentar: desde los costos de instalación y mantenimiento del proyecto, la variedad y el medio a sembrar, la compra de los plantines, el diseño del sistema de riego, el manejo agronómico del cultivo, la logística de operaciones y la rentabilidad del cultivo.Blueberries is a crop that has grown dizzyingly in Peru, the biggest obstacle to its development has been the limited acces to information about how to growth it, including most knowledge comes from private companies whose not shared or publish their information. Due to soil conditions, the crop was managed in containers, focused in a high yield per hectare. Biloxi variety was the one that was evaluated from 2017 to 2019 in Ica. The parameters evaluated and recorded were phenology of the crop, phytosanitary management, pH, EC, fertilization, harvest and other labores in the field like pruning and cultural management.
