Departamento Académico de EntomologíaCon el objetivo de dar a conocer las normas regulatorias actuales para el manejo de insumos agrícolas en producción orgánica y desarrollar el proceso de obtención del certificado de compatibilidad orgánica de un insumo agrícola, se plasman las normas actuales y lo que conlleva este proceso. Las normas que regulan la agricultura orgánica en nuestro país están dadas por la autoridad nacional competente SENASA. Esta registra y faculta a los organismos de certificación que se encargarán de la certificación orgánica directa, para el caso de los insumos agrícolas, con las empresas que los comercializan. El área de asuntos regulatorios de la empresa es la que tendrá a cargo el proceso de obtención del certificado de compatibilidad orgánica de determinado producto, es por ello que debe ser de conocimiento las normativas de los principales países a los que se exporta ya que en base a la evaluación preliminar que realice, se determinará las posibilidades que tenga el producto para la obtención del certificado. Para EE. UU la norma es NOP-USDA, en Japón está determinada por el Estándar de Agricultura Japonesa (JAS), para la Unión Europea está dada en el Reglamento Europeo (CE), así también la nacional se encuentra en el Reglamento Técnico para los productos orgánicos (RTPO). Los organismos de certificación solicitarán a la empresa la documentación técnica del insumo que postulará a cada una de las normas mencionadas para su evaluación y conclusión de compatibilidad con las normativas. De las normas presentadas, se destacan sus similitudes, no obstante, las dos primeras pueden ser más estrictas respecto a la transformación química de ciertos elementos en comparación con las normas de la Unión Europea y Perú.In order to present the current regulatory standards for the management of agricultural products in organic production and develop the process of obtaining the certificate of organic compatibility of an agricultural product, the current standards and what this process implies are presented. The regulations governing organic agriculture in our country are given by the competent national authority SENASA. This registers and authorizes the certification bodies that will be responsible for direct organic certification, in case of agricultural supplies, with the companies that commercialize them. The regulatory affairs area of the company is in charge of the process of obtaining the certificate of organic compatibility of a specific product, which is why it should be aware of the regulations of the main countries to which it is exported, since based on the preliminary assessment made, it will determine the chances that the product has to obtain the certificate. For the USA the standard is NOP-USDA, in Japan it is determined by the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS), for the European Union it is given in the European Regulation (EC), as well as the national standard is determined by the Technical Regulation for organic products (RTPO). The certification bodies will request from the company the technical documentation of the product that will apply to each of the mentioned standards for evaluation and conclusion of compatibility with the regulations.
