Maestría en Producción y Extensión AgrícolaLa presente investigación se realizó con el apoyo de agricultores productores de arroz del Valle Chancay Lambayeque en el departamento de Lambayeque durante la campaña 2014 – 2015, a quienes evaluamos su nivel de tecnología en las diferentes actividades y prácticas culturales en el manejo del cultivo, identificando los factores limitantes que influyen en el proceso de adopción y plantear las correcciones para un mejor desempeño en la adopción de prácticas culturales que mejoren los rendimientos por hectárea del cultivo, debido a que aún hay un buen tramo que pueden acceder mejorando su producción y por ende su mejor calidad de vida. Se procedió a realizar encuestas a una muestra aleatoria para 95 agricultores; luego se procedió a procesar los resultados a través del programa SPSS; además cualificar cada actividad y practica cultural en estudio, para determinar el nivel tecnológico. En el estudio se escogieron 38 actividades y prácticas culturales para evaluar el nivel tecnológico de cada una de ellas y llegar a una conclusión de cuáles serían las más importantes a incidir para que las adopten los agricultores arroceros del valle Chancay Lambayeque y que mejoren el rendimiento por hectárea. Estas actividades y prácticas culturales fueron seleccionadas teniendo en cuenta la experiencia del investigador y de profesionales especialistas del valle. Los agricultores de valle Chancay Lambayeque están organizados en una Junta de Usuarios; la misma que está subdividida en 15 Comisiones de Usuarios, donde se encontró que la Comisión de Usuarios de Ferreñafe es la que tiene una mayor población de agricultores que siembran arroz. Se encontró que existen 10 actividades y prácticas culturales con nivel tecnológico alto, 17 con nivel tecnológico medio y 13 con nivel tecnológico bajo; lo que nos indica que el nivel tecnológico en general es medio. Deduciéndose que el nivel tecnológico de los agricultores de arroz en el valle Chancay Lambayeque es de medio a bajo.This research was carried out with the support of rice farmers from the Chancay Lambayeque Valley in the department of Lambayeque during the 2014 - 2015 campaign, who evaluated their level of technology in the different cultural activities and practices in crop management, identifying the limiting factors that influence the adoption process and to propose corrections for a better performance in the adoption of cultural practices that improve yields per hectare of the crop, due to the fact that there is still a good section that can be accessed improving its production and therefore its better quality of life.
