Departamento Académico de NutriciónDurante los meses de octubre y noviembre del 2019 se realizó un estudio en el Valle del Mantaro y en el Laboratorio de Parasitología de la Facultad de Zootecnia, de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, con el objetivo de evaluar la eficacia del Triclabendazol (TCBZ), Rafoxanide (RFN) + Albendazol y del Clorsulón (CLN) + Ivermectina, en el control de Fasciola hepatica. Se utilizaron 55 vacunos de la raza Brown Swiss bajo crianza semi-extensiva, naturalmente infectados con fasciolosis, entre vacas y vaquillas. Los animales fueron divididos en tres grupos experimentales. Las dosis utilizadas fueron de TCBZ: 12mg/kg (n=18), RFN + Albendazol: 10 mg + 9mg/kg, respectivamente (n=18) y CLN + Ivermectina: 2 mg + 0.2 mg/kg, respectivamente (n=19). Se colectaron muestras de heces directamente del recto, el día del tratamiento (día 0), a los 15 y 30 días postratamiento. Las muestras fueron analizadas mediante la técnica modificada de Flukefinder® para determinar la cantidad de huevos por gramo de heces (hpg). Se determinó la eficacia aplicando el Test de reducción de conteo de huevos (FECRT). Se determinaron los intervalos de confianza al 95 por ciento siguiendo las directivas de la Asociación Mundial para el Avance de la Parasitología Veterinaria (WAAVP). Los resultados de eficacia para TCBZ, a los 15 y 30 días postratamiento fue nula en ambos casos, mientras que para RFN y CLN fueron de 92% (95% IC = 71:97), 97% (95% IC = 93:98) y 99% (95% IC = 96:99), 80% (95% IC = 12,5:95) de eficacia, respectivamente. Se encontraron diferencias estadísticas significativas entre el hpg (RFN y CLN) antes del tratamiento y postratamiento, mientras los hpg de los días 15 y 30 postratamiento se obtuvo lo contrario. Se concluye que existe falla terapéutica con el TCBZ, mientras que los dos últimos principios activos evaluados poseen una buena eficacia en el control de Fasciola hepatica en vacunos del fundo evaluado, sin embargo, por mayor eficacia se recomienda el uso del RFN para el control de Fasciola hepatica en vacunos debido a su mejor porcentaje de reducción a los 30 días.During the months of October and November 2019, a study was carried out in the Mantaro Valley and in the Parasitology Laboratory of the Faculty of Zootechnics, of the National Agrarian University of La Molina, in order to determine the efficacy of Triclabendazole (TCBZ), Rafoxanide (RFN) + albendazole and Clorsulon (CLN) + ivermectin, the control of Fasciola hepatica. 55 Brown Swiss cattle under semi-extensive rearing, naturally infected with fasciolosis, were used between cows and heifers. Animals were divided into three experimental groups. The doses used were of TCBZ: 12mg / kg (n = 18), RFN + Albendazole: 10mg / kg + 9mg/kg, respectively (n = 18) and CLN + Ivermectin: 2mg / kg + 0.2 mg/kg, respectively (n = 19). Stool samples were collected directly from the rectum, on the day of treatment (day 0), at 15 and 30 days post treatment. The samples were analyzed using the modified Flukefinder® technique to determine the amount of eggs per gram of feces (hpg). Efficacy was determined by applying the Egg Count Reduction Test (FECRT). 95 percent confidence intervals were determined following the guidelines of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP). The efficacy results for TCBZ, at 15 and 30 days post treatment was null in both cases, while for RFN and CLN they were 92% (95% CI = 80:99), 97% (95% CI = 94:99) and 99% (95% CI = 97:100), 80% (95% CI = 46:99) of efficacy, respectively. Statistical differences were found between hpg (RFN and CLN) before treatment and post-treatment, while the hpg of days 15 and 30 post-treatment the opposite was obtained.
