Departamento Académico de HorticulturaEl objetivo de este trabajo de estudio es proponer soluciones prácticas a los problemas identificados en el mantenimiento de áreas verdes en el distrito de Chorrillos, con el fin de optimizar las labores de gestión en la instalación y mantenimiento del grass americano; así mismo, el fortalecimiento de la producción y siembra de plantas de estación, y el aprovechamiento de residuos orgánicos generados de las actividades de mantenimiento para su valorización; de tal manera, promoviendo el uso de tecnologías sostenibles para mejorar las áreas verdes. La instalación de grass americano en un suelo de textura franco arcillo más la incorporación de materia orgánica (4kg/m2) y la aplicación de fertilización al suelo a base de NPK (20-20-20) de 50 g/m2, y con una champa de grass de calidad 4; llegó a desarrollar el grass adecuadamente con un 95% de prendimiento y una calidad de coloración de 90% 95% (verdoso). Además; teniendo en cuenta, que con el corte de grass a una altura de 3 – 5 cm representa el 80% del mantenimiento. Para la producción e implementación de planta de estación, se rediseñó los espacios del vivero y se mejoró la producción utilizando semillas de mejor calidad genética y certificadas F1; en bandejas de germinación y aumentó en 166.6% la producción de 30,000 a 80,000 plantas en promedio y obteniendo un ahorro del 62 % del costo de compra, además mejoró la calidad de las plantas para la instalación en campo aumentado el tiempo de duración al doble de tiempo (2 a 4 meses). Se valorizó los residuos orgánicos generados del mantenimiento llegando a producir por pila formada 4 250 kg. de compost, con un rendimiento del 50% del total de material fresco ingresado y se aprovechó para mejorar la calidad del grass y de plantas en campo con el compost producido.The objective of this study is to propose practical solutions to the problems identified in the maintenance of green areas in the Chorrillos district, in order to optimize management tasks in the installation and maintenance of American grass; likewise, strengthening the production and planting of seasonal plants, and the use of organic waste generated from maintenance activities for its valorization; in this way, promoting the use of sustainable technologies to improve green areas. The installation of American grass in a loam-clay soil, plus the incorporation of organic matter (4 kg/m²) and the application of NPK (20-20-20) fertilizer at 50 g/m², using a quality 4 grass sod, resulted in proper grass development with 95% establishment and 90-95% color quality (greenish). Furthermore, considering that cutting the grass to a height of 3-5 cm represents 80% of the maintenance. For the production and implementation of the station's plant, the nursery spaces were redesigned and production was improved using higher quality, certified F1 seeds; in germination trays, increasing production by 166.6% from 30,000 to 80,000 plants on average and achieving a 62% saving in purchase costs. Furthermore, the quality of the plants for field installation improved, doubling their lifespan (from 2 to 4 months).
