Departamento Académico de Manejo ForestalLas podas en altura de árboles urbanos, son actividades fundamentales en el mantenimiento y cuidado de los árboles, los que conjuntamente con otros componentes de las áreas verdes generan, una serie de beneficios, así como ambientes que ofrecen al público usuario, espacios para la recreación. Complementan las áreas verdes las diferentes especies de fauna que interactúan con los árboles de la ciudad. Los árboles de cada distrito, constituyen uno de los elementos más importantes para el bienestar y confort de los visitantes, es por ello que estos involucran un manejo continuo con buenas técnicas silviculturales como son las podas para un buen crecimiento y desarrollo. Con el propósito de contribuir al buen manejo de los árboles, la disminución del riesgo de caída y a la seguridad de los operadores; es necesario implementar un procedimiento de trabajo seguro para la actividad de alto riesgo como es la poda de árboles en altura. Se realizó en base a lo estipulado en la Ley 29783, “Ley de Salud y Seguridad en el Trabajo” y de su reglamento D.S. 005-2012-TR. Por lo que se tomaron en consideración los siguientes pasos: la identificación de los riesgos en la actividad, la evaluación de las medidas de control a elegir y el seguimiento de las medidas de control. Esta información fue la base con la que se realizó el “Procedimiento de Trabajo Seguro para la Actividad de Poda en Altura de Árboles en Zonas Urbanas”, considerando factores bióticos y abióticos, así como registros históricos de accidentabilidad debidos a esta actividad en el distrito de San Borja. Es importante manifestar que este trabajo y el documento respectivo fue aprobado por la municipalidad de San Borja a mediados del 2018 y durante el 2019 fue implementándose para ser utilizado en el 2020. Las circunstancias acontecidas han limitado su puesta en práctica, lo que pronto se espera se regularice y aplique.The pruning in height of urban trees, are fundamental activities in the maintenance and care of trees, which together with other components of green areas generate a series of benefits, as well as environments that offer the user public, spaces for recreation. The green areas are complemented by the different species of fauna that interact with the trees in the city. The trees of each district are one of the most important elements for the well-being and comfort of visitors, which is why they involve continuous management with good forestry techniques such as pruning for good growth and development. With the purpose of contributing to the good management of the trees, the reduction of the risk of falling and the safety of the operators; It is necessary to implement a safe work procedure for high-risk activities such as tree pruning at height. It was carried out based on the provisions of Law 29783, "law of health and safety at work" and its regulation DS 005-2012-TR. Therefore, the following steps were taken into consideration: the identification of the risks in the activity, the evaluation of the control measures to choose and the monitoring of the control measures. This information was the basis on which the "Safe Work Procedure for Tree Pruning at Heights in Urban Areas" was carried out, considering biotic and abiotic factors, as well as historical records of accidents due to this activity in the district of San Borja.
