La muestra, por 60 personas adultas de ambos sexos (grupo control n=30; grupo de intervención n=30). El instrumento utilizado fue un cuestionario de 3 dimensiones, 9 indicadores y 20 ítems. La prueba de normalidad para el grupo control fue 0.000<0.05 y para el grupo experimental 0.001<0.05; en la prueba de Wilcoxon, el valor de significancia calculada fue de 0.000 < 0.05, acepta la hipótesis alternativa; así mismo las medias del nivel de conocimiento acerca de la automedicación de los antibióticos en el grupo control (pretest) fue de 15.7 y 14.967 (post test), en el grupo experimental (pretest), fue 13.167, en el post test fue de 37.8.
