Resultados: un 50,94% tuvo un autocuidado regular, seguido de un 28,30% que tiene un nivel de autocuidado bueno. El 30,19% de los pacientes tiene una calidad de vida regular, seguido por el 20,75% que tiene una calidad de vida mala. El 18,87% tiene una calidad de vida buena, mientras que el 16,98% presenta una calidad de vida muy buena. “Los resultados de la prueba de Chi-cuadrado, mostrando una significancia asintótica bilateral de 0,001. Dado que el valor p es menor a 0,05, se concluye que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables”. Conclusiones: existe relación significativa entre el autocuidado y la calidad de vida en pacientes con cáncer de próstata en el área de urología del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima-2024.

The population and sample were 53 patients with prostate cancer from the urology department of San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital. The technique was the survey. Results: 50.94% had average self-care, followed by 28.30% who had a good level of self-care. 30.19% of patients had an average quality of life, followed by 20.75% who had a poor quality of life. 18.87% had a good quality of life, while 16.98% had a very good quality of life. The results of the Chi-square test showed a bilateral asymptotic significance of 0.001. Since the p-value is less than 0.05, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the variables."
