Material y métodos: el estudio corresponde a un caso clínico con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y descriptivo, orientado a la aplicación de las taxonomías NANDA, NOC y NIC en el cuidado del paciente con enfermedad renal crónica. La población estuvo constituida por un único paciente, varón de 73 años, con dicha patología, hospitalizado en el Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante la valoración por patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon, que permitió una evaluación integral y sistemática del paciente. Resultados: Se obtuvo que los diagnósticos de enfermería evidenciaron un cumplimiento eficaz del 90% de las intervenciones planificadas, reflejando una mejora significativa en el patrón respiratorio ineficaz. El paciente logró suspender el uso de oxígeno y mantener una saturación del 95% al momento del alta hospitalaria, lo que confirma la efectividad del cuidado respiratorio brindado y una adecuada respuesta terapéutica ante las intervenciones ejecutadas.

Materials and methods: this study is a clinical case study with a quantitative, non-experimental, and descriptive design, focused on the application of the NANDA, NOC, and NIC taxonomies in the care of a patient with chronic kidney disease. The population consisted of a single patient, a 73-year-old male with this condition, hospitalized at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital. Data collection was carried out using Marjory Gordon's functional health patterns assessment, which allowed for a comprehensive and systematic evaluation of the patient. Results: the nursing diagnoses showed effective compliance with 90% of the planned interventions, reflecting a significant improvement in the ineffective breathing pattern.
