description Objetivo: evaluar el efecto antiparasitario del extracto hidroalcohólico de las siguientes concentraciones de 25,50,75% de Artemisia absinthium. Para su desarrollo se recolecto las hojas de “Ajenjo” de tal forma se utilizó los huevos de Equinococcus granulosus. Para el efecto antiparasitario se realizó mediante la técnica microscópica con diferentes concentraciones del extracto hidroalcohólico, empleando un control positivo albendazol 100mg.Resultados: los metabolitos secundarios presentes en el extracto hidroalcohólico del Ajenjo fueron Alcaloides y flavonoides. Los resultados muestran que el extracto hidroalcohólico de “Ajenjo” posee actividad antiparasitaria con una eficacia del 20.40% en la concentración de 75% de extracto y un 21.40% para las concentraciones 50%. Anova demostró sig. < 0.05. por lo tanto, se concluye que el extracto hidroalcohólico de la planta “ajenjo” presenta poca eficacia antiparasitaria sobre huevos de Equinococcus granulosus. tras compararlo con Albendazol dio un 100% en el mismo día de observación. Conclusiones: el extracto hidroalcohólico de Artemisia absinthium. L presenta poca eficacia antiparasitaria sobre los huevos de Echinococcus granulosus.

L against Echinococcus granulosus in comparison with albendazole 100mg.Methods: presented a quantitative approach with an experimental design. For its development, the leaves of “Wormwood” were collected in such a way that the eggs of Echinococcus granulosus were used. For the antiparasitic effect was performed by microscopic technique with different concentrations of the hydroalcoholic extract, using a positive control albendazole 100mg.Results: the secondary metabolites present in the hydroalcoholic extract of wormwood were alkaloids and flavonoids. The results show that the hydroalcoholic extract of “Wormwood” possesses antiparasitic activity with an efficacy of 20.40% at 75% concentration of extract and 21.40% for 50% concentrations. Anova showed sig. < 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that the hydroalcoholic extract of the “Wormwood” plant presents little antiparasitic efficacy on eggs of Echinococcus granulosus. After comparing it with Albendazole, it gave 100% on the same day of observation. Conclusions: the hydroalcoholic extract of Artemisia absinthium.
