description El presente trabajo de investigación es de tipo observacional, descriptivo de corte transversal; tiene como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de conocimiento de Salud bucal en estudiantes de 6to de Primaria de la institución educativa “Augusto Salazar Bondy” del Distrito de Nuevo Chimbote Provincia del Santa Setiembre 2015, para lo cual se aplicó una encuesta estructurada de manera voluntaria a 30 participantes en dicha Institución. El nivel de conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal se dividió en nivel de conocimiento sobre medidas preventivas, conocimiento sobre enfermedades bucales, y conocimiento sobre desarrollo dental. Así mismo se relacionó el nivel de conocimiento con el género. En general, sobre conocimiento en Salud Bucal mostró un nivel malo con 79,4 % y según género femenino el 41,2% nivel malo y género masculino el 38,2% nivel malo; en cuanto al conocimiento sobre medidas preventivas el 41,7% tuvo un nivel regular, sobre el conocimiento de enfermedades bucales el 63,3% tuvo un nivel malo; por último, en desarrollo dental el 88,3% tuvo un nivel malo.
