description El trabajo de investigación que se desarrolla al largo de este documento tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de abandono familiar en los infantojuveniles del CAR San Miguel Arcángel en el distrito de San Miguel - periodo 2019. La población escogida se compone de 65 albergados del CAR “San Miguel Arcángel” en el distrito de San Miguel. La muestra se seleccionó de forma probabilística, mediante la técnica de muestreo aleatorio simple; conformándose por 45 albergados. Con lo que respecta al tipo de estudio es de tipo descriptivo, con un enfoque de investigación cuantitativa, y por último de diseño no experimental-transversal. La técnica que se utilizó fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue un cuestionario elaborado para medir el nivel del abandono familiar. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos en la presente investigación se llegó a la conclusión que el nivel de abandono familiar percibido por los infantojuveniles albergados en el CAR “San Miguel Arcángel” se encuentra en un nivel moderado con un 51%, dicho resultado se debe a que muchas de las necesidades primarias y secundarias de los mismos no fueron cubiertas de manera oportuna por su grupo primario de apoyo, existiendo falencias más preponderantes en el abandono médico, abandono de salud mental y abandono educativo.

The chosen population is composed of 65 CAR shelters " San Miguel Arcángel "in the district of San Miguel. The sample was selected probabilistically, using the simple random sampling technique; settling for 45 sheltered. With regard to the type of study is descriptive, with a focus on quantitative research, and finally non-experimental design-transversal. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was a questionnaire designed to measure the level of family abandonment.
