Para ello se desarrolló el estudio fitoquímico, donde se encontraron compuestos fenólicos y flavonoides. También se realizaron lecturas en el espectrofotómetro UV y con ello se propusieron seis estructuras químicas de flavonoides. Después se realizó la evaluación diagnóstica de examen directo y cultivo de dermatofitos a los pacientes voluntarios; esto ocurrió previo al tratamiento con la loción a base de flores de Troapeolum majus L. (LBTM). El tratamiento se realizó con la LBTM.
