description El objetivo del trabajo fue determinar la actividad antibacteriana in vitro del extracto etanólico de las raíces de Zingiber officinale roscoe (Kion) y Cúrcuma longa L. (Palillo) frente a cepas de Staphylococcus aureus, mediante el método de macrodilucion (MIC). La muestra fue recolectada en la ciudad de Chanchamayo, provincia de Chanchamayo, departamento de Junín. Se identificó taxonómicamente en el museo de historia natural de la Universidad mayor de San Marcos, según el sistema de Clasificación de Cronquist (1988).
