Basándose en una metodología cuantitativa y correlacional, para corroborar la hipótesis de que la participación ciudadana influye de manera significativa en la fiscalización del servicio de agua potable y saneamiento en el caserío La comunidad, Cajamarca. Como población y muestra se contó con la participación de 72 ciudadanos del caserío La comunidad, Cajamarca; a quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario de ambas variables. Como resultados se encontró que no existe participación ciudadana en el presupuesto participativo, la fiscalización que se realiza a través de diferentes mecanismos no fortalece la participación de los mismos porque a pesar de lanzar las convocatorias de capacitación, no existe asistencia concurrente porque no se difunde adecuadamente. Como conclusión se llegó a afirmar que la participación ciudadana influye de manera significativa en la fiscalización del servicio de agua potable y saneamiento en el caserío La comunidad, Cajamarca.
