description La presente investigación se desarrolló con el objeto de determinar la relación existente entre la programación del Plan Operativo Institucional (POI en adelante) y la ejecución presupuestal del Gobierno Regional de Lima, 2021. Asimismo, esta investigación se realizó en base a la apreciación que tuvieron los 29 usuarios operadores responsables del POI de la sede central del Gobierno Regional en cuanto a la programación y ejecución del mencionado instrumento de gestión. Contando con un enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental con el nivel descriptivo correlacional. Se trabajó con una muestra censal de 29 operadores responsables del POI del Gobierno Regional de Lima – sede central los mismos que respondieron 24 preguntas plasmadas en el cuestionario del presente estudio. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron una correlación directa existente entre la variable POI y Ejecución Presupuestal, evidenciándose mediante el coeficiente Rho de Spearman de 0.625
