De este modo, la presente investigación se orienta al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 3, enfocado en la salud y bienestar, y busca comparar la capacidad diagnóstica del Índice Inmuno-Inflamatorio Sistémico (SII) y el Índice Neutrófilo/Linfocito (INL) para predecir aborto retenido en gestantes. Se trata de un estudio observacional, no experimental, con un diseño transversal analítico, realizado en gestantes de un hospital en Trujillo. La muestra incluyó a 108 mujeres de entre 7 y 20 semanas de gestación. Se halló que ambos índices presentaron una baja capacidad diagnóstica, con sensibilidades y especificidades inferiores al 50%, lo que limita su utilidad clínica para predecir esta condición. Los resultados sugieren que, aunque ambos índices reflejan respuestas inflamatorias, no son adecuados para el diagnóstico del aborto retenido. En conclusión, es necesario explorar otros marcadores específicos que puedan mejorar la precisión diagnóstica en este contexto clínico.
