Esta investigación tuvo un diseño no experimental de corte transversal de tipo descriptivo correlacional. Con una muestra fue de 320 estudiantes de ambos sexos de un colegio estatal del distrito de Puente Piedra. En torno a los instrumentos empleados para la recolección de datos fue la Escala de Impulsividad de Barratt (1993) y el Cuestionario de Adicción a las redes sociales (2014). Se obtuvo como resultado una correlación de Rho=.428**, con una significancia de p=.000 (sig.>,05) entre la impulsividad y la adicción a las redes sociales. En otras palabras, la impulsividad y la adicción a las redes sociales es directamente proporcional.
