description Esta investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo general de determinar la relación que existe entre la participación ciudadana y el presupuesto participativo en la municipalidad distrital de Huanchaco - Trujillo, 2020. La investigación ha tenido en cuenta una hoja de ruta basada en la metodología científica. El tipo de investigación es no experimental, el diseño es correlacional de corte transversal. La población está conformada por 79 participantes, la muestra estuvo constituida por 54 participantes, se han empleado como instrumentos dos cuestionarios confiables y debidamente validados para la recolección de datos de las variables en estudio y se procesó la información a través del software de estadística para ciencias sociales (SPSS v. 25), los resultados son presentados en tablas y figuras estadísticas y se concluye que los encuestados perciben la existencia de una relación alta y significativa entre las dos variables investigadas confirmándose nuestra hipótesis de investigación y logrando nuestro objetivo general (r=,759**y Sig.=,000).
