Como resultado, se encontró que, existe una asociación significativa entre prematuridad y la presencia del síndrome de distrés respiratorio en neonatos no ajustada (prueba χ2 con OR: 3.97; IC: 2.73 – 5.78; p-valor < 0.01) y ajustada por sexo, sepsis y control prenatal (modelo de regresión logística con OR: 3.73; IC: 2.47 – 5.28; p-valor < 0.01).
