El estudio tiene el enfoque cualitativo, con el tipo de investigación aplicada y con diseño de investigación se optó por la teoría fundamentada. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos, la entrevista y la guía de análisis documental. De los resultados obtenidos se concluye que, después de analizar los delitos informáticos contra la indemnidad sexual contemplado en la Ley N°30096, Ley de Delitos Informáticos, y su modificatoria Ley N°30171, contamos con el artículo número 5) de la citada Ley, la misma que presenta deficiencias, no contando con todas las conductas que pueda ejecutar el sujeto activo para la comisión de este ilícito penal en las redes sociales vulnerando la indemnidad sexual de los menores de catorce años de edad.
