description El objetivo general de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre las variables Evaluación del Sistema de Control Interno y su relación con la gestión municipal. La investigación corresponde al tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo porque esta investigación recopila y analiza datos cuantitativos sobre variables, con diseño no experimental. Con una muestra total de 30 servidores públicos de la Municipalidad Distrital de La Punta. El instrumento de medición empleado fue cuestionario tipo escala de Likert, validados mediante el Juicio de tres expertos, y para la confiabilidad se aplicó el Alfa de Cronbach que comprobó una alta fiabilidad. Los resultados arrojaron mediante el estadístico R Pearson una p<0.05 y una r=0.615, indicando que existe una relación inversa entre la variable de evaluación de implementación del Sistema de Control Interno y la Gestión Municipal, asimismo, se demostró que existe relación entre la variable gestión municipal y las dimensiones: ambiente de control, gestión de riesgos y supervisión de manera significativa.
