description El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo, analizar comparativamente la alternativa técnica y económica entre un pavimento flexible y un pavimento rígido en el tramo de Mullaca - Chavín. Distrito de Tarica, Huaraz, Ancash en el año 2018, se realizó los trabajos de campo como levantamiento topográfico estudio de suelo y la elaboración de diseño del pavimento flexible y rígido. La investigación tiene definiciones de pavimentos flexibles y rígidos e tipo de investigación que se realiza es aplicada porque se busca la aplicación y utilización de conocimientos existentes en análisis comparativo. La población de esta investigación es la población a las vías de circulación del tramo de estudio, y con respecto a la muestra esto pertenece a las vías de circulación del tramo y los instrumentos a utilizar será la observación porque llenare formatos de conteo de tráficos. Por último, se muestra en la conclusión que el pavimento rígido es más rentable en la durabilidad, en comparación al pavimento flexible, pero es lo contrario si vemos en la parte económica que el pavimento regido es más costoso con el respecto al pavimento flexible.
