Para ello, se utilizó una investigación aplicada, de diseño no experimental - transversal y de nivel correlacional con un enfoque cuantitativo con una muestra de 40 colaboradores a quienes se les administró una pregunta tipo Likert. Para determinar los valores de correlación se utilizó la prueba no paramétrica Rho de Spearman y con respecto a la hipótesis general, se tuvo como resultado que en la Municipalidad Distrital de Saurama, existe una asociación muy significativa entre la gestión municipal y la participación ciudadana, siendo el valor de Rho Spearman = 0,766, que representa la cantidad de correlación, muestra que es fuerte y directa. Conclusión: La Municipalidad Distrital de Saurama tiene un mejor grado de participación ciudadana cuanto más ha mejorado la gestión municipal, dado que la participación ciudadana debe ser cada vez más parte integral de la gestión municipal, pues no solo lograra ventajas a la población, sino también para los gobiernos locales que la puedan implementar de manera inteligente.
