description El objetivo es determinar el comercio internacional y la competitividad del jengibre peruano durante el periodo 2008-2015. La idea ha sido demostrar que el comercio internacional y la competitividad del jengibre peruano durante el periodo 2008-2015 han sido favorables para el Perú. Esta investigación comprende un desarrollo progresivo de diferentes etapas que inicia desde la recopilación de datos de fuentes confiables. Para realizar el análisis se procedió a operacionalizar las variables, determinar las dimensiones y sus respectivos indicadores, desagregando el comercio internacional en exportación e importación, asignar sus respectivos indicadores de valor, volumen y precio y por el lado de la competitividad, en productividad y costo unitario de producción. De esta manera se procedió a recopilar información de diferentes fuentes secundarias, así como libro, artículos de revistas, páginas institucionales y tesis que sustente las afirmaciones y permita probar las hipótesis. Se utilizó el método estadístico como base para el análisis fundamental de los datos. Se llegó a la conclusión que el jengibre peruano es competitivo
