description La presente investigación denominada "La publicidad registral y su afectación al derecho a la intimidad en el distrito de Chimbote - 2016", habiendo hecho uso del estudio de la doctrina y normatividad en materia constitucional, desde la óptica de la protección del derecho a la intimidad frente a la publicidad registral, siendo el objetivo de la presente investigación determinar si la publicidad registral afecta al derecho a la intimidad, existiendo actualmente discordancia normativa entre ambas. Se empleó el método descriptivo, a través de la técnica denominada encuesta, cuyo instrumento es el cuestionario que se aplicó a la muestra constituida por los 10 colaboradores de la Superintendencia Nacional de los Registros Públicos y a los 40 usuarios de la misma institución. Luego de procesar los resultados obtenidos y de contrastarlos con la normatividad vigente en materia relacionada "al derecho a la intimidad y la publicidad registral"; se pudo determinar que existe la afectación directa o indirecta al "derecho a la intimidad" mediante la falta de información al titular de quien ha obtenido su información de carácter personal y porqué motivo lo ha obtenido, también con la expedición de títulos archivados que contengan datos sensibles que conforman información intima; para ello se debe tener en cuenta la mejora de la normatividad vigente y su implementación en las instancias administrativas y tecnológicas que engloban "la publicidad registral".
