description La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo general analizar el perfil del intérprete cristiano en el Perú, haciendo uso de las dimensiones de la interpretación cristiana postuladas de Peremota. La poca atención a esta disciplina, además el escaso valor y reconocimiento que se les brinda a los intérpretes cristianos, desempeñando una gran labor muchas veces siendo voluntarios realizando una mediación lingüística entre miembros de una congregación y otra extranjera, fomentó la elaboración de esta investigación. El tipo de investigación fue aplicada, de diseño documental y de enfoque cualitativo. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la ficha documental y la guía de entrevista. Según los análisis se concluye que, el perfil del intérprete cristiano no solo se adapta a una persona creyente del cristianismo, sino a cualquier intérprete que tenga un profesionalismo, el cual se refiere a una conducta adecuada al realizar la labor, no al poseer una formación académica. Asimismo, no basta con ser bilingüe sino tener rasgos de un orador como poseer un tono de voz adecuado, gestos, entre otros. Por último, tener una destreza para la interpretación, pues el intérprete cristiano tendrá que adaptarse a ciertas características, poseer estrategias y comprender los diversos desafíos que ocurren dentro de esta labor
