description Se busca describir la organización retórica de los resúmenes de artículos de investigación de seis revistas científicas peruanas adscritas a las ciencias biomédicas y sociales. Se analizó la estructura genérica de 270 textos publicados entre los años 2015 y 2019, con un enfoque descendente y bajo el modelo de movimientos retóricos (Swales & Feak, 2009). Los resultados muestran la presencia de patrones de tres y cuatro movimientos en las ciencias sociales, y de cuatro movimientos en las biomédicas. Respecto al orden de aparición de los movimientos, las revistas de ciencias sociales presentan mayor variabilidad frente a las del área biomédica.
