Los resultados a los cuales se arribó, son ocho percepciones sobre participación comunitaria organizadas en tres subcategorías. En primer lugar, se encuentra la subcategoría de significados y formas de participación; esta incluye la toma de decisiones y acción colectiva, la elección de la mujer para asumir un cargo directivo y representativo y el involucramiento en actividades comunales y de capacitación. En segundo lugar, se encuentra la subcategoría de motivaciones y beneficios de la participación; esta acoge el sentido de pertenencia, la adquisición e intercambio de saberes y el fortalecimiento de la capacidad de liderazgo. En tercer lugar, se encuentra la subcategoría de dificultades y limitaciones para la participación; esta incluye el sentido de autoconfianza débil y la desigualdad de género en el espacio público y privado.

The participants were 12 women with ages ranging from 38 to 65 years and with participatory experience in their communities. The methodology followed by the study was a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, likewise the collection of information was developed through semi-structured interviews in quechua and spanish. The results that were arrived at are eight perceptions about community participation organized into three subcategories. In the first place, there is the subcategory of meanings and forms of participation; this includes decision-making and collective action, the election of women to assume managerial and representative positions and involvement in community and training activities. Secondly, there is the subcategory of motivations and benefits of participation; this embraces the sense of belonging, the acquisition and exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of leadership capacity.
