description El presente trabajo de investigación titulado "Análisis de la seguridad vial de las vías circundantes a la Universidad Andina del Cusco utilizando el Manual de Seguridad Vial MSV- 2017" se enfocó en evaluar la seguridad vial en las vías circundantes a la Universidad Andina del Cusco, con el objetivo de comprender su influencia en la accidentabilidad. El estudio tomó como instrumento los lineamientos del Manual de Seguridad Vial MSV-2017, del cual se analizó el estado de la infraestructura vial, la tasa de accidentabilidad, la gravedad de los accidentes y el tiempo de respuesta ante dichos incidentes. En cuanto a la muestra, se obtuvo los datos por parte de la PNP, con lo cual, los resultados revelaron que en estas vías existe una tasa de 0.93 accidentes/día durante el año 2022, con un nivel de fatalidad del 25% y un tiempo de respuesta promedio de 2.5 minutos. Concluyendo finalmente que la influencia de la seguridad vial es de 1.5 respecto a una evaluación cuantificable mediante la escala de Likert de 0 a 4. Por tal motivo se realizó una propuesta de mejora, en la cual se incluye una solución a los problemas de seguridad vial presentes en las vías circundantes a la Universidad Andina del Cusco.

The study took as an instrument the guidelines of the MSV-2017 Road Safety Manual, which analyzed the state of the road infrastructure, the accident rate, the severity of accidents and the response time to such incidents. As for the sample, the data was obtained by the PNP, with which, the results revealed that on these roads there is a rate of 0.93 accidents/day during the year 2022, with a fatality level of 25% and an average response time of 2.5 minutes. Finally, it is concluded that the influence of road safety is 1.5 with respect to an evaluation quantifiable by means of the Likert scale from 0 to 4.
