La calidad del ruido definida por el Reglamento Nacional de Normas de Calidad del Ruido Ambiental (Ruido ECA) aprobado por Decreto Supremo N° 085 - 2003 - PCM establece un conjunto de condiciones, las cuales se entienden como niveles aceptables que deben cumplirse para garantizar el cumplimiento ambiental de protección. Como parte de este enfoque, en 2022 se realizó un estudio para determinar la relación entre el ruido ambiental y los niveles de estrés de la población urbana de la región de Yanacancha. Se utilizó el método de muestreo puntual en doce puntos del distrito de Yanacancha y el método de encuesta con una muestra de 165 personas para determinar el nivel de estrés en los puntos controlados. Se estableció la principal conclusión del estudio: existe influencia del ruido ambiental y el nivel de estrés de la población urbana de la región de Yanacancha.
