Revisado por el profesor Ricardo Manuel Padilla Casaverde, responsable de la asignatura.Esta investigación analiza cómo las políticas y mecanismos institucionales han promovido la innovación empresarial y el desarrollo económico en Singapur. Se examina cómo este país, que era uno de los más pobres en la década de 1950, ha emergido como una economía destacada con ventajas en manufactura, tecnología y finanzas. El objetivo es entender cómo las políticas gubernamentales y la estructura institucional han sido cruciales para este desarrollo. Se consideran variables como la liberalización económica, las políticas industriales y la intervención estatal. La metodología emplea un modelo econométrico ARIMA, utilizando datos del FMI y del Departamento de Estadística de Singapur. Los resultados indican que la evolución de la balanza comercial y las exportaciones e importaciones son estadísticamente significativas, confirmando que las políticas gubernamentales han tenido un impacto positivo en el desarrollo del país. Se concluye que la acción pública estratégica y la estructura institucional han sido fundamentales para fomentar la innovación empresarial y el crecimiento económico de Singapur.This research analyzes how policies and institutional mechanisms have promoted business innovation and economic development in Singapore. It examines how this country, which was one of the poorest in the 1950s, has emerged as a leading economy with advantages in manufacturing, technology and finance. The objective is to understand how government policies and institutional structure have been crucial to this development. Variables such as economic liberalization, industrial policies and state intervention are considered. The methodology employs an ARIMA econometric model, using data from the IMF and the Singapore Department of Statistics. The results indicate that the evolution of the trade balance and exports and imports are statistically significant, confirming that government policies have had a positive impact on the development of the country.
