Se implementó un modelo basado en Lean Warehousing y gestión de almacenes con las herramientas lean, SLP y 7S, que luego de la simulación en el software Arena, resultó en un aumento de la productividad de 2.11 a 3.12 paquetes por hora hombre y una reducción del 17% en Tiempos de espera para paquetes de repuestos. Además, se logró mejorar los tiempos de inspección y almacenamiento, representando una reducción significativa de los costos asociados, específicamente en los gastos por uso de un almacén de apoyo que ascendió a $100.000 anuales. Este enfoque promete ser un modelo para mejorar la eficiencia de la gestión de almacenes en el sector retail de automóviles.

Este enfoque promete ser un modelo para mejorar la eficiencia de la gestión de almacenes en el sector retail de automóviles.The research focused on solving the problems of high inspection and storage times in a spare parts warehouse serving as a distribution center for the dealers of an automotive retail company, identifying inefficient distribution and unnecessary transfers as the leading causes. A model based on Lean Warehousing and warehouse management with the lean tools, SLP and 7S, was implemented, which, after simulation in Arena software, resulted in an increase in productivity from 2.11 to 3.12 packages per man-hour and a 17% reduction in waiting times for spare parts packages. In addition, improved inspection and warehousing times were achieved, representing a significant reduction in associated costs, specifically in the expenses for using a support warehouse that amounted to $100,000 per year.
