The mentioned actor who was excessively superior to his friends, in all aspects, suffers an amputation, which reduces his abilities and equals them to those of his peers, making the coexistence possible. It should be pointed out that this configuration arises from the analysis of the first part of the novel.

La pérdida del órgano viril funciona como la entrega de un don, a fin de obtener otro bien: la igualdad de posibilidades sociales entre los miembros de una comunidad de amigos. El mencionado actor, que era excesivamente superior a sus amigos en todo orden de cosas, padece una amputación que permite reducir sus poderes, a efectos de equilibrarlos con el de sus pares, lo que hace posible una convivencia viable.
