El estudio detectó un desfase técnico del 11,81% con un impacto económico del 4,94%. Se identificaron tres causas principales: averías en la máquina de tableadora, tiempos de preparación elevados y errores en el proceso de corte. Para solucionar estos problemas, el estudio propuso el uso de herramientas de ingeniería como el SMED y la estandarización del método de trabajo. Se esperaba que la aplicación de estas herramientas aumentara la eficacia operativa, redujera los tiempos de inactividad y mejorara la calidad del producto.
