In it, very suggestively, Stobart examines the multisensory implications of musical reception in the Macha region, north of Potosí, during the holiday periods. With pleasant and acute prose, Stobart reviews the cultural links between music, sexuality and food, as well as between visual and auditory perceptions to finally focus on the relationships between musical practices, religious offerings and the climate of the Potosian region. Taking the notion of synesthesia in anthropology, Stobart analyzes a rich ethnographic material and brings us closer to indigenous conceptions of the Andes hitherto unheard of for us. A text that, without a doubt, will promote similar approaches to the indigenous music of the Peruvian Andes.A través de un extenso trabajo etnográfico, Stobart pasa revista a los nexos existentes entre producción de alimentos y la producción material e inmaterial de cultura. El presente artículo es una buena muestra de la solidez teórica y empírica sobre la que se basa su obra. En él, de manera sumamente sugerente, Stobart examina las implicaciones multisensoriales de la recepción musical en la región de Macha, al norte de Potosí, durante los períodos de fiesta. Con prosa amena y aguda, Stobart repasa los vínculos culturales entre música, sexualidad y comida, así como entre percepciones visuales y auditivas para, finalmente, concentrarse en las relaciones entre prácticas musicales, ofrendas religiosas y el clima de la región potosina. Tomando la noción de sinestesia en la antropología, Stobart analiza un rico material etnográfico y nos acerca a concepciones indígenas de los Andes hasta ahora inéditas para nosotros.
