Finally, the article presents the current stage and some major developments in the region with regard to accession to the statelessness conventions, the adequacy of national legislation to international standards, the adoption of legal frameworks on the protection of stateless persons, the establishment of statelessness determination procedures, and the search of solutions to the problem of statelessness.El artículo comenta el contenido del capítulo para erradicar la apatridia del Plan de Acción de Brasil, y las acciones orientadas a la prevención de la apatridia, la protección de las personas apátridas, y la resolución de los casos existentes. Igualmente, explica la vinculación de dichas acciones con aquellas contenidas en el Plan de Acción Mundial del ACNUR. Finalmente, expone el estado actual y algunos de los principales desarrollos de la región en lo referido a la adhesión a las convenciones sobre apatridia, la adecuación de la normativa de nacionalidad a los estándares internacionales, la adopción de legislación sobre protección de personas apátridas, el establecimiento de procedimientos de determinación de la apatridia, y la búsqueda de soluciones para el problema de la apatridia.application/pdfspaPontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
