This academic note focuses on the discussion about Competitiveness Report 2019 and 2020 for Peru, under a supply chains perspective, since this is a natural and relevant facilitator for country’s competitiveness. Therefore, it develops the infrastructure and logistics pillars included in these reports, and at the end it presents conclusions and recommendations from the discussion made.

El Perú ha mostrado un progresivo retroceso entre los años 2017 y 2019 en su ubicación en el ranking del Índice de Competitividad Global (ICG). Incluso, comparado con los países considerados en el ICG y con relación a sus pares de la Alianza del Pacífico (Colombia, Chile, y México), no ha destacado en el crecimiento de este indicador. La presente nota académica se enfoca en discutir las propuestas del Informe de competitividad Perú 2019 y 2020 desde la perspectiva de cadena de suministro, al ser una habilitadora natural e importante para la competitividad del país.
